The technology enables new applications and markets, simplifies the development process, improves time to market, decreases development cost and reduces product cost. Customers have used the Verasonics prototype system for their new application and later designed targeted product based on Verasonics technology. Research customers find the Verasonics prototype system to be very flexible and easy to program and acquire data using its simple Matlab interface. The same Matlab scripts run on both the Verasonics software simulator and on the actual system. Verasonics markets its technology by licensing, marketing OEM hardware and software and by providing consulting services if needed.
